Using Modifier Keys with DwellClick
DwellClick has handy features for clicking and dragging with modifier keys shift ⇧, control ⌃, option ⌥ and command ⌘, without having to hold down the keys.
Modified clicking
To set a modifier for the next click or drag, either:
- press the ⇧, ⌃, ⌥ or ⌘ key on the keyboard;
- select that modifier from the floating control panel.
The selected modifier symbol will appear in grey above the pointer:

Repeating the same modifier
By default, the selected modifier will apply only to the next click or drag. To set the modifier to repeat, either:
- press the same modifier key again;
- select the repeat button in the floating control panel.
When set to repeat, the symbol will turn white:
. To cancel the repeating modifier, either:
- press Esc (or any key);
- deselect the repeat button in the floating control panel;
- click any physical mouse button.
Modified dragging
Tap ⇧, ⌃, ⌥ or ⌘ while dragging to apply that modifier to the drag. Tap the same modifier again while dragging to turn it off.
